Walk reports

This page will contain some report from recent walks (but will only be updated if people send us reports!)

Walk report 25^th October 2009. Sandford and surrounding areas.

20 people came on this walk and were rewarded with a 10 and half mile walk through a variety of landscapes. There were light showers during the day but it was occasionally sunny as well. We had some good views from the one (small) hill on the walk. Dartmoor to the south looked very gloomy and covered in cloud (no surprises there then!). Along the way we had to take firm action to prevent an unwanted additional member of the party – a lovely dog from one of the farms started to follow us and if we hadn’t ensured that we sent him back I am sure that someone would have had to drive him back to his home at the end of our walk! On the way we stopped at the “Ring of Bells” pub in Cheriton Fitzpaine for a well deserved drink, much to Ali’s delight. Although this was the first walk after the clocks got back we arrived at the car park well before dusk.
